This village located at the foot of Sewati Hill also has an ancient history, it is said that this village started before the independence of the country and even the British rule and from a long time ago.

It is known that there were two brothers named Rama Bhakta and Swarupa Bhakta. It is known that their father Maho and Prapitamhora lived in a village called ‘Hajam Bonta’ in ‘Sili Prakhand’ of Jharkhand. At that time, the Naga king Raghunath Shah was ruling in the Chotanagpur region.

The jungle kingdom was maintained in Ramgarh, Sili, and Tamar regions. Ramgarh once came under the control of the Turks in a terrible manner, which led to massive atrocities on the forest natives and they did not hesitate to destroy the forest, which made their lives miserable.

This Bakad village is only 15 km away from the present Jhalda police station. This forest can actually be seen from the Jhalda Satyabhama School junction via Ranchi Road along Gola Road. Which is called the “Jura” forest. Which means shadow. This forest of about 6 km in length was as calm, so this garden was full of sal trees, jam trees, and mango trees.

Villagers used to rest for a while in the cool shade of this garden when they came for a walk, hence the name of this garden is Jura Ban. The shadow of people’s peace, and the calm cool weather filled their minds and souls. Every passer-by was guarded, like a banyan tree.

Then comes a village called Matwara. From there a straight seven-kilometer road will take you directly to Sewati Hills. Sewati Jharna and a Purulia Tourist Spot, though a small waterfall, has the special feature of crossing a road of about four kilometers and reaching its base from a height of five hundred meters through dense forest.

In summer, the water flow is weak and clear water is available. And as soon as you come close to him, humming a melodious melody of sweet tones will effortlessly fill your mind beautifully and make you lively.
