Santa’s Location Google Earth 2023 – Track Mr. Claus’ Magical Journey with Google & NORAD This Christmas

Santa’s Location Google Earth 2023: On Christmas Eve, people of all ages eagerly look for Santa Claus, anticipating the joy he will bring to everyone with gifts. Discover the intuitive steps to use the Track Santa feature on both Google and NORAD.

Christmas is right around the corner and the excitement among children all over the world is palpable as they eagerly await the arrival of Santa Claus. Interestingly, Santa has been on the radar of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) since the 1950s. NORAD, a binational organization responsible for aerospace warning, air sovereignty, and security for both Canada and the United States, has a distinct tradition of tracking Santa. This practice began in 1955 through NORAD’s predecessor organization, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD).

After seeing a newspaper advertisement encouraging children to call Santa, a curious child dialed the phone number of the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD) Operations Center. Answering the call was CONAD Operations Director Harry Shoup, who, upon understanding the nature of the call, directed his staff to check the radar for signs of Santa’s journey from the North Pole to the South. This fortuitous event marked the beginning of a cherished tradition, where NORAD now reports Santa’s location each year on December 24. Over time, NORAD has further strengthened this tradition by establishing the NORAD Tracks Santa website, giving global audiences, both young and old, the opportunity to keep track of Santa’s whereabouts.

“Although the tradition of tracking Santa began completely by accident, NORAD continues to track Santa. We are the only organization equipped with the technology, competency, and dedicated personnel to accomplish this delightful task. And, we love it! NORAD is honored to be the official tracker of Santa!” NORAD’s official website states.

Learn how to use the Track Santa feature on both Google and NORAD to join in the excitement.

HOW TO TRACK SANTA CLAUS ON NORAD

  1. To track Santa using NORAD, visit noradsanta.org.
  2. Upon entering the website, you’ll encounter a captivating 3D simulation featuring Santa and his sleigh, pulled by reindeer, as they journey across the globe.
  3. The tracker furnishes real-time information about Santa’s latest location, upcoming destinations, and the tally of gifts he has delivered.

TRACKING SANTA CLAUS USING GOOGLE

It’s unsurprising that Google, the operator of the world’s most widely used search engine, has its own Santa tracker, capable of monitoring Santa’s journey without the advanced aerospace tracking capabilities of NORAD.

  1. To utilize Google’s Santa tracker, simply visit https://santatracker.google.com/.
  2. Google’s Santa tracker offers a 2D tracking experience, featuring an animated Santa and his sleigh as they traverse the globe, albeit without the 3D capabilities of NORAD’s tracker.
  3. Despite this difference, Google’s tracker provides essential data, such as the distance covered, gifts delivered, and Santa’s upcoming destination.

Celebrate Christmas on December 25, a joyous occasion observed worldwide.
