This huge Shivalinga is in the Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. This Shivalinga is at a distance of 3 km from Gariaband. It is known as Shri Bhuteshwarnath Mahadev. Every year lakhs of devotees come here to see Baba.
This is said to be the largest Shivalinga in the world.

Here people believe that this Shivalinga is increasing every year. That’s why people also know it by the name of Bhakurra Mahadev. In the language of Chhattisgarh, Bhakurra means to make a sound.

The Height of Shivling is Increasing Every Year

The height of Shivalinga from the ground is 70 to 75 feet. The people living here believe that earlier its height was less. But as time progresses, its height is increasing. However, a slight crack can also be seen in the Shivalinga.

How to reach Baba’s darshan

If you are going from places like Delhi or Rajasthan to visit Bhole Baba, then you can plan a trip by train. You will get a train from Delhi to Raipur. Gariaband is 2 hours away from here. You can go to Baba’s darshan by bus or cab.

Mahashivratri 2024 Puja Muhurat

According to the Panchang, Chaturdashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Phalgun month will start on March 8 at 09:57 in the evening. It will end the next day on March 9 at 06:17 pm. Lord Shiva is worshiped during the Pradosh period, hence it is not necessary to observe Udaya Tithi. In such a situation, this year the fast of Mahashivratri will be observed on 8 March 2024.

On the day of Mahashivratri on March 8, the time of worship of Lord Shiva is from 06:25 pm to 09:28 pm. Apart from this, the auspicious time of the four Prahars is as follows-

Night first prahar puja time – 06:25 pm to 09:28 pm
Night Second Prahar Puja Time – 09:28 PM to 12:31 AM on March 9

Night Chaturtha Prahar Puja Time – 03.34 am to 06:37 am

Nishita Kaal Muhurta – 12:07 am to 12:55 pm (9 March 2024)
Fast breaking time – 06:37 am to 03:28 pm (9 March 2024)

Mahashivratri Worship Method

  1. On the day of Mahashivratri, wake up early in the morning, take a bath, etc., and take a pledge to fast in front of Lord Shiva Shankar with full devotion.
  2. Take blessings of Lord Shiva to complete the fasting period during Sankalp.
  3. Apart from this, also take a pledge as to how you will observe the fast i.e. eating fruits or going without water.
  4. Then start worship at the auspicious time.
  5. First of all, bathe Lord Shankar with Panchamrit.
  6. Also, offer 8 pots of saffron water and light a lamp for the whole night. Apart from this, apply sandalwood tilak.
  7. Belpatra, Bhang, and Dhatura are the most favorite offerings of Bholenath.
  8. Therefore, offer three betel leaves, hemp, datura, nutmeg, lotus leaves, fruits, sweets, sweet paan, perfume, and Dakshina.
  9. Lastly, offer kheer containing saffron and distribute the prasad to everyone.
