How to Make Mutton Recipe
Step 1: To begin, take a pressure cooker and place it on the gas stove to heat. Once it’s hot, add oil to it. When the oil is adequately heated, add the whole spices – bay leaf, cloves, black peppercorns, and cinnamon. Sauté them for a while until a subtle aroma emanates. Now, add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
Next, add the mutton to the cooker, sprinkle salt according to taste, and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes. Once the mutton is nicely seared, pour in a little water, close the pressure cooker lid, and cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
Step 2: Now, take another pan and add a little oil to it. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped onions and sauté them until they turn golden brown. When the onions are well-cooked, add the chopped tomatoes and cook them thoroughly until they become soft.
Step 3: Once the tomatoes are soft and well-cooked, add chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala to the pan, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes. Now, add the cooked mutton to the prepared gravy and mix it thoroughly. After that, add yogurt to the mixture and stir well for another 4 to 5 minutes over high heat. Keep stirring with a spoon after adding yogurt to prevent it from curdling.
