My Reviews to Book a Kerala Tour

My Reviews to Book a Kerala Tour: It has been a long time since my husband and I took a vacation. We were both busy with work and needed a break. On our anniversary, I thought of surprising my husband with a beautiful vacation to Kerala. I talked to various travel companies, but I was not getting the best deal. One fine day, my sister-in-law visited us and I told her about my surprise as well as my disappointment of not getting the kind of package I wanted. She told me about Thrillophilia from where she had once booked her travel itinerary for her in-laws.

I immediately opened my laptop and browsed through Thrillophilia’s website. To my surprise, there were many Kerala packages, and that too, was in my budget. I also went through the Thrillophilia review section to learn about other’s experiences with the company. After being completely assured, I finalized the 7-day Kerala couple package, which also included a free visit to Kundala Lake. I quickly contacted their tour operator and booked the tour. The entire booking process was so smooth, and they took care of all the things. I didn’t even have to plan on anything, be it hotel bookings or transfers. When I told them about my wish to surprise my husband for the trip, they customized the entire itinerary according to my preferences.

The Journey Begins

When we landed in Cochin, our driver and guide, Shammas greeted us warmly. His friendly nature made us feel comfortable right away. We started our trip by driving to Munnar, which is a beautiful hill station that is famous for its tea gardens and green landscapes. The scenic drive through the winding roads and valleys set a romantic tone for our trip.

In Munnar, we stayed at Amuse Vista. The hotel was cosy and offered stunning views. Moreover, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious too. We especially loved the local Kerala dishes, like Idiyappam and Kerala Payasam.

The next day, we visited the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the Nilgiri Tahr. At this park, the rolling hills and colourful plants were absolutely beautiful. We hiked through the trails and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. Next, we went to a tea garden and factory, where we learnt how tea is made and walked through the lush tea plantations. In the evening, we attended a traditional Kathakali dance performance. The expressive movements and storytelling of the dancers were so good.

On the third day, we left Munnar for Thekkady. The drive was filled with beautiful views and small villages. In Thekkady, we stayed at The Elephant Route, which is a charming hotel with a vintage feel. There, we took a Jeep Safari through the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The dense forests and serene lakes were exciting to explore. We saw elephants and various birds in the sanctuary. The highlight of our stay in Thekkady was visiting the Kalpavanam Elephant Park. We even rode elephants and even bathed them. It was indeed a unique and memorable experience.

The next stop of our journey was Alleppey, which is known for its calm backwaters and houseboats. We boarded a houseboat with Blue Greens Houseboats. The boat was beautifully decorated and had all modern amenities. The crew welcomed us with fresh juice and snacks.

Cruising through the backwaters of Alleppey was like a dream. We spent the day relaxing on the deck and enjoying the view of the backwaters. The boat crew cooked delicious meals, local-style, for us, including a traditional fish curry. In the evening, we enjoyed hot pakoras and tea during the sunset.

Our final day was spent in Kochi, where we had a late-night flight. Shammas made sure we used our time well. We visited the Kerala Folklore Museum, which showed the rich culture of Kerala through artefacts, traditional costumes, and performances. For lunch, we ate at a popular restaurant owned by Indian movie star Dileep. The food was amazing, and we especially enjoyed the Puttu, a traditional Kerala dish made from steamed rice flour and coconut.

We Are Truly Grateful to Thrillophilia!

As we boarded our flight back home, we thought about all the great memories we made. The trip exceeded our expectations. I think my review of Thrillophilia highlights how well the company planned and executed our vacation. This trip brought us closer together and gave us much-needed relaxation. We returned home with happy hearts and refreshed minds. We highly recommend Thrillophilia to anyone looking for a well-organised and memorable travel experience.
