Wild elephants often come here. The forest department has issued a notice cautioning visitors against wild elephants and urging them not to venture into the forest.

At the Tapoban Valmiki Ashram, a streamlet known as Sita Nala flows by. A tributary of the Subarnarekha River, it originates in the Chandbila forest and meets the Subarnarekha near Khandalpara, now known as the Kodopal Eco-Tourism Spot.

History Of The Bengal Tapoban Valmiki’s Ashram:
