Day 1:

We suggest starting your tour from Oslo, one of the largest and most beautiful capitals in the world. Despite being renowned as a foreign skiing destination and home to tons of great museums, the vast land of the city is still filled with parks, protected forests, hills, and hundreds of lakes, making exploring Oslo’s tourist places exciting.

Day 2:

On the second day, go for a city sightseeing tour using the Oslo Hop-On Hop-Off Tour. This tour will cover almost all the major tourist attractions of the city. The first place to visit is the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the most popular tourist attraction in Oslo. This unique sculpture park contains the life’s work of Gustav Vigeland. There are 650 of his dynamic sculptures in bronze, granite, and wrought iron here. You can also find the Oslo City Museum and the Vigeland Museum just outside the park.

The next important place you must visit is the Norsk Folkemuseum, an open-air museum that houses permanent exhibits of Norwegian folk culture from the past 500 years. The buildings of the museum are divided into different areas that highlight various time periods and settings.

After that, visit the Ski Museum, one of the oldest ski museums in the world. If you are a ski enthusiast, then you will find exhibits that tell you the story of nearly 4,000 years of ski history.

Your Oslo tour will be incomplete if you don’t take a boat ride on the Oslofjord. The fjord connects Oslo city to the North Sea, and there are several boat tour options available with full amenities.

Rising from the Oslofjord is the majestic Akershus Fortress, and you can easily spend some time in the museum of this fortress on your day tour.

Day 3:

On the third day, take a flight from Oslo to Tromso, the largest city in Northern Norway located on a small island between Narvik and Hammerfest. Established in the 13th century, it is a major fishing port of the country and is renowned for its awe-inspiring views of the northern lights and the midnight sun.

Witnessing the northern lights is a must-do activity in Tromso and Storsteinen is a great place to view this natural wonder. You can take a ride on the Fjellheisen Cable Car to reach there in the enclosed gondola and watch the lights and the town below from the viewing platform. The best time to witness the northern lights is from late September to early March.
