The Dalai Lama’s Temple
This grand complex is also known as Tsuglagkhang, which serves as the residence of the Dalai Lama. The premises include several temples, a Tibetan museum, and a memorial store. Every day, students gather in the courtyard of Namgyal Monastery and study ancient Buddhist teachings.
A large golden statue of Buddha, along with smaller statues of Guru Rinpoche and Chenresig, stands in the middle, filling the surroundings with their presence. Adjacent to the main temple, there is a small western hall known as the Kalachakra Temple, whose walls are adorned with intricate murals.
