HIRECT App Everyone will now get a job through the Hirect app, know how?

HIRECT App Everyone will now get a job through the Hirect app: Direct hiring platform Hirect is making the most of the hiring frenzy in India’s startup ecosystem. By connecting candidates directly with founders, CXOs and HR leaders, it is striving to shorten the hiring window for companies.

As indicated by recent industry trends, startup hiring can be quite a nightmare. As the demand for tech talent continues to grow in India, recruiters are finding themselves in the midst of chaos. From browsing hundreds of resumes and shortlisting candidates to conducting background checks and scheduling interviews—it’s often difficult.

Many staffing agencies and startups are now on-boarding recruiters and talent acquisition managers to simplify the hiring process and reduce the time it takes to fill vacancies. And that’s where Hirect, a chat-based direct hiring platform for high-growth startups, enters.

It uses a proprietary matchmaking algorithm to connect tech recruiters with job seekers. Not only does this reduce the time taken for shortlisting the candidates, but it also enables instant communication between both the parties through chat and video.

On the job seeker side, Hirect allows candidates to connect directly with Founders, CXOs, and HR leaders. And on the recruitment side, it does AI-based background verification, recommends high quality candidates, schedules video interviews within 30 minutes, and essentially, removes the back and forth over email.

Hirect has crossed one million downloads on the Google Play Store, and has a 4.6 out of 5 rating. According to its website, there are more than 30,000 startups in the world hiring Hirect.

More than 3,000 job listings are added to the platform every week. The app has connected over 100,000+ active job seekers with 10,000+ verified recruiters. Hirect also claims that there are 50,000+ CXOs “waiting to chat” with candidates.

Some of India’s top startups (and unicorns) including BYJU’S, Flipkart, Amazon, Udaan, upGrad, Walmart, Vedantu, NoBroker, Justdial, Lenskart, Ajio.com and Freecharge have used Hirect to fill key tech positions. Hirect also runs weekly online recruitment drives with 50+ tech companies.

App Breakdown

Users have to login to Hirect with their mobile number. First, the app asks you whether you are a Recruiter or a Candidate. Unlike food delivery or fleet cab services that have separate apps for customers and riders, Hirect bundles both the interfaces in a single app, but shows you exactly what you want. Users can switch between the two interfaces from their profile page.

If you are a Candidate, Hirect will give you Job Type (Full-time, Contract, Intern), Functional Area (IT, Digital Marketing, Sales & Business Development, Operations, Product, Design, Finance, Supply Chain & Logistics, Manufacturing, BPO) , Real Estate & Construction, Media & Advertising), preferred city, and expected salary range.

Candidates can also create a profile (similar to LinkedIn) on Hirect by sharing key details including bio, education, past work experience, skills etc. They can save jobs, upload CVs and chat with recruiters using the in-app messaging feature.

Currently, Hirect lists jobs in the top 10 cities in India: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Noida and Pune. It lists blue-collar jobs including delivery staff, drivers, security guards, electricians, carpenters, plumbers, beauticians, cleaners and appliance repair technicians. The app allows companies to create job listings in five minutes.

But first it verifies the recruiters by asking for their company ID card, work email, LinkedIn profile, appointment letter and other authorized documents. After the job is posted, Hirect notifies the recruiter as soon as there is a match with the candidate. Voice calling and video calling features are integrated within the app, so that users do not need to switch platforms.

While the app is free for the candidates, Hirect charges the recruiters for posting hot jobs. (Certain functional area jobs posted for listed cities are considered hot jobs.) Recruiters will have to pay Rs 199 for each hot job listing on Hire.

Why Hirect solves a real problem?

Recruitment is one of the hottest topics in the startup ecosystem in India today. The buzz has peaked in the last 7-8 months, with thousands of new technical positions opening up every quarter, and the variety of options on offer making candidates effective kingmakers.

As a result, it is imperative for recruiters to shorten the hiring window. At the same time, they will also have to pick quality talent, given the amount they are willing to spend on them. Hirect is trying to solve both these problems. It also serves as an alternative job search platform (apart from players like Indeed, Naukri, Monster, LinkedIn, etc.) for candidates.

By focusing on startups and tech jobs, Hirect has also been able to cut through the noise in the overall recruitment industry. Early-stage startups that don’t have large hiring budgets or huge talent acquisition divisions can benefit from a platform like Hirect because it eliminates the middleman by putting founders and job seekers in the same chat window.

One testimonial sums it up well, “The in-app chat feature is a great idea for recruiters. Add some relevant questions to this and you are able to identify the right candidate in 2-3 minutes.”
