Cyclone Mocha Live Updates – Coastal Bengal on High Alert as Rescue Teams Standby, Chennai Braces for Cloudy Day

Cyclone Mocha Live Updates – Coastal Bengal on High Alert as Rescue Teams Standby, Chennai Braces for Cloudy Day: On Monday, Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, reassured residents that the necessary precautionary measures had been taken and there was no need to panic as Cyclone Mocha may not make landfall in the eastern state.

Meanwhile, in Chennai, a low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal will cause a cloudy and thunderous day on Tuesday, with lightning expected in some areas. However, the low pressure may not bring significant rainfall to the city over the next few days.

According to the meteorological department, a low-pressure area formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the South Andaman Sea on Monday. It is predicted to intensify into a depression on Tuesday over the same region and further develop into a cyclonic storm over the southeast Bay of Bengal, adjoining areas of the east-central Bay of Bengal, and the Andaman Sea on Wednesday.
