Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has shared new images depicting the external and internal beauty of the temple. From the intricate carvings on the pillars to the sanctum sanctorum built for devotees to view Lord Rama from a distance of 25 feet, every detail has been carefully crafted.

Architectural Marvels:

The three-storey Ram Mandir, standing in the traditional Nagar style, has an idol of Shri Ram Lalla in the main sanctum and a Shri Ram Darbar on the first floor. The temple has five pavilions, each dedicated to specific activities such as dance, colour, gathering, prayer, and kirtan. Idols of gods and goddesses are adorned on the pillars and walls, creating a divine atmosphere.

Key Features:

  1. Dimensions of the temple: Length is 380 feet (east to west), width is 250 feet and height is 161 feet.
  2. Three-storey structure with a total of 392 pillars and 44 doors.
  3. The main sanctum sanctorum has unique features like the childhood form of Lord Shri Ram and the Darbar of Shri Ram on the first floor.
  4. Five dedicated pavilions for various activities including dance, colour, gathering, prayer, and kirtan.

Entry to the temple is from the east, via the Singh Dwar (Lion Door), which is climbed by 32 steps. Special provisions such as ramps and lifts cater to the convenience of disabled people and people older than 70. There is a rectangular wall around the temple, whose total length is 732 meters and width is 14 feet.

Surrounding Temples:

The temple complex consists of four corner temples dedicated to the Sun God, Goddess Bhagwati, Lord Ganesha, and Lord Shiva. Apart from this, there is a temple of Maa Annapurna in the northern arm and a temple of Hanuman ji in the southern arm.

This temple is proof of indigenous technology, no iron has been used in its construction. The foundation, made of a 14-meter-thick layer of roller-compacted concrete (RCC), mimics an artificial reef.

Environmentally Conscious Design:

With a focus on water conservation and environmental sustainability, 70% of the 70-acre area has been preserved as green space. The 21-foot high platform built using granite protects the temple from ground moisture.

Modern Amenities and Pilgrim Facilities:

The temple complex has a sewage treatment plant, water treatment plant, water supply for fire protection, and an independent power station. A Pilgrim Facility Center (PFC) with a capacity of 25,000 people is under construction, providing medical facilities and locker services for pilgrims.

A historic well, Sita Kupa, near the temple adds to the ancient charm. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple complex will include additional temples dedicated to various eminent figures from Indian mythology.

The upcoming inauguration and consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22 is going on with meticulous planning for every detail, including accommodation and security measures. The highlight of the event is the sacred prasad – 44 quintals of unique laddus, prepared with desi ghee and without a touch of water. A team of 40 skilled sweet makers from Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat is dedicated to this endeavour.

The Pran Pratishtha Program:

An important aspect of the celebrations will include the distribution of these specific laddus as prasad to the devoted followers of Lord Ram. Devotees are expected to gather on the auspicious day of 22nd January to receive this divine offering.

The laddus prepared with traditional desi ghee are carefully packed in tiffin boxes for convenience. The disciples of Devraha Baba, who are supervising this process, assure that without water these laddus will remain fresh for six months.

Following the Bhog ceremony:

Prasad will be given to VIPs, each box will contain a total of 11 laddus. Also, Ram devotees coming for darshan will get a box of five laddus each. This generous initiative aligns with the spiritual fervor surrounding the Ram Mandir and continues the tradition established during the Bhoomi Pujan ceremony in August 2020 when thousands of quintals of laddus were donated to the Ram Mandir Trust by the disciples of Devraha Baba.

The production of these unique laddus began on January 6 and will continue till January 22 with the ambitious target of producing approximately 45 tonnes. The confectioners are working diligently and making around 1,200 kg of laddus every day.
