BYD launches Atto 3 electric SUV with a range of 521Km in India: Chinese automobile company BYD has announced the price of the Atto 3 electric SUV in India. Its price is Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Booking for this started last month. The company has received about 1,500 bookings for it. It will compete with electric SUVs like Hyundai Kona and MG ZS.
The BYD Atto 3 has a modern design and gets LED headlamps at the front with a silver finish plaque in the middle. The front bumper has a piano black plastic panel. It has 18-inch aerodynamically designed alloy wheels.
The company claims that the wind resistance of this SUV is 0.29 CD. Talking about its interior, it has a 12.8-inch rotating infotainment screen, which is in the middle of the dashboard. It has a flat bottom steering wheel. Features of the Atto 3 include a panoramic sunroof, an electronically powered tailgate, powered front seats, keyless entry, and multi-color ambient lighting.
In this, information for the driver is found on a floating-style digital screen behind the steering. It also has wireless charging and 360-degree cameras. The Atto 3 is powered by a single PMS motor that produces 201 bhp power and 310 Nm torque.
The company says that it catches a speed of 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds. It is available in four colors – Boulder Grey, Parker Red, Ski White, and Surf Blue.

The electric SUV is powered by a 60.48 kWh Blade battery that can be charged from 0-80 percent in about 50 minutes using an 80 kW DC fast charger. There is also a VTOL mobile power station that can be used as a power bank for devices and appliances up to 3.3 kWh.
The company has said that the Atto 3 can run up to 521 km on a full charge. BYD’s worldwide sales of electric cars and plug-in electric hybrid vehicles have grown rapidly over the past few years.
The company had said that it would start selling passenger EVs in Japan next year. In the second quarter of the current financial year, BYD beat Tesla to have the highest number of electric vehicle (EV) sales globally.
