For 2022, the Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special feature improved visibility on the TFT display, which is said to make readability of the display better for riders. The Pan America 1250 also gets extended Vehicle Hill Hold Control active time from 10 seconds to 3-5 minutes. A new colour option for the Pan America 1250 Special has also been introduced, called Fastback Blue/White Sand.
Mechanically, there are no other changes to the Pan America 1250. The full-size adventure bike is powered by Harley-Davidson’s Revolution Max engine, which is a liquid-cooled, 1,252 cc, v-twin and makes 150 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 127 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm. The top-spec Pan America 1250 Special gets semi-active suspension, as well as an optional Adaptive Ride Height system. The system lowers the seat height when in a stopped position, while maintaining optimal ride height when the motorcycle is in motion.
Both the H-D Pan America 1250 and Pan America 1250 Special come with cornering optimised technologies, which match motorcycle performance to available traction during acceleration, deceleration and braking. Cornering ABS, cornering enhanced electronically linked braking, cornering traction control system, cornering drag-torque slip control system and hill hold control all work to offer better control and dynamics of the Pan America 1250.
